The Piedmont Kestrel Conservation Corridor is a collaborative initiative aimed at protecting and enhancing habitats for the American Kestrel and other native wildlife. By volunteering, donating, or participating in events, you make a difference.
Our volunteers have a wide range of skills and abilities. Everyone is welcome!
Host & Install a Nest Box
We depend on private landowners in the region to host and/or sponsor nest boxes on their farms, fields, and open pastures.
Maintain Boxes & Equipment
Our team assembles, installs, and maintains over 150 kestrel boxes in the region. We are always looking for folks to join our team.
Monitor Kestrel Nests
Through field research, we track the populations of Kestrels and other species to inform our conservation strategies. Work is done both on site and via nest cams.
GET IN TOUCH
We need landowners, bird lovers, citizen scientists, handy people, and nature enthusiasts in our region to help us with installs, monitoring, nest box hosting, donations, and spreading the word. Whatever your skills and interest, you can help us protect the Piedmont's American Kestrels!
